How to Implement the Cycles Approach

Presenters: Shannon Werbeckes, MS, CCC-SLP, Marisha McGrorty, MS, CCC-SLP
In this course, participants will be presented with practical, evidence-based strategies to implement the Cycles Approach and facilitate meaningful outcomes for students with phonological disorders.

By the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify three best practices for phonological evaluations
  2. Describe how to strategically select therapy targets when implementing the Cycles Approach
  3. Identify three treatment activities that can be used when implementing the Cycles Approach
About Shannon: Shannon earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathologist from Radford University in Virginia. She has experience in an outpatient pediatric clinic, a preschool, and most recently, a middle school. Shannon also develops pediatric speech therapy resources that are effective, practical, and evidence-based.

About Marisha: Marisha earned her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington. She has worked as a school-based SLP and shares therapy ideas and resources on her blog (SLP Now). Marisha also developed a membership for SLPs that includes digital tools and resources to streamline evidence-based therapy.
