In this podcourse, Lauren shares tips and tricks that speech-language pathologists can use when identifying students with undiagnosed hearing loss. She also shares practical strategies that SLPs can implement when serving students with hearing loss on their caseload.

By the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe three strategies to identify students with undiagnosed hearing loss.
  2. Identify three strategies that can be used when initially serving students with hearing loss.
  3. Describe three strategies that can be used when selecting treatment targets for students with hearing loss.

About Lauren: Lauren DiBiase is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist, certified LSLS Auditory Verbal Therapist, and Teacher Author.  She began her career in a school for the Deaf before transitioning to the New York City Department of Education, where she now works in the largest special education district in the United States.  Lauren's passion for creating and sharing resources paired with her devotion to supporting students with special needs has led to the creation of her Teachers Pay Teachers store:

About Marisha: Marisha earned her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington. She has worked as a school-based SLP and shares therapy ideas and resources on her blog (SLP Now). Marisha also developed a membership for SLPs that includes digital tools and resources to streamline evidence-based therapy.
