In this course, Marisha shares practical strategies to help speech-language pathologists navigate the first few weeks of the school year and set themselves up for success. With a focus on facilitating more meaningful outcomes for students and streamlining the therapy planning process, SLPs will walk away with practical tips and strategies to "work smarter" in their speech therapy sessions.

By the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. List three strategies to strategically navigate the first week of school.
  2. Identify three strategies to efficiently manage his/her caseload.
  3. List three strategies for successful communication with parents and teachers.
About Marisha: Marisha earned her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington. She has worked as a school-based SLP and shares therapy ideas and resources on her blog (SLP Now). Marisha also developed a membership for SLPs that includes digital tools and resources to streamline evidence-based therapy.

0-30 minutes: Introduction/Strategies for Success in Your First Week
30-60 minutes: How to Navigate Scheduling
60-90 minutes: How to Set Up Your Caseload
90-120 minutes: Navigating the First Few Weeks of Therapy
120-150 minutes: Parent Communication Strategies
150-180 minutes: Teacher Communication Strategies
