In this podcourse, Dr. Lyndsey Zurawski shares her experience as the past president of her state association and other advocacy roles. SLPs will walk away with practical (and actionable) tips to advocate for change at the local, state, and national levels.
Objective

By the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify three opportunities to advocate at the local level.
  2. Identify three opportunities to advocate at the state level.
  3. Identify three opportunities to advocate at the national level.
About Lyndsey: Lyndsey Zurawski (zurh ah ski), SLPD, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist and diagnostician in The School District of Palm Beach County. She created and maintains the popular SLP blog, Speech to the Core, and authors numerous e-products in the area of language and literacy. She is the immediate past president for the Florida Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (FLASHA).

About Marisha: Marisha earned her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington. She has worked as a school-based SLP and shares therapy ideas and resources on her blog (SLP Now). Marisha also developed a membership for SLPs that includes digital tools and resources to streamline evidence-based therapy.
