Aimee R. Mooney MS CCC-SLP
Aimee R. Mooney is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with over 24 years of clinical experience specializing in Communication and Cognitive Rehabilitation. Her clinical expertise is in working with people with neurological illness/injury: Stroke, Brain Injury, Parkinson's disease, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The focus of her research is helping people find and use communication supports for cognition, language or speech. Aimee joined OHSU in 1999 with the NIDRR sponsored Oregon Traumatic Brain injury Model Systems (OTBIMS) Project. Aimee is an enthusiastic instructor, speaking frequently as a member of OHSU TeamPD and as adjunct faculty member in the department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Portland State University.
From treating patients to advocating for best practices to instruction, Aimee has developed a life-long passion for helping adults to maximize recovery from injury or adapt to disease or degenerative illness.
