In this course, Linda shared her creative concepts of incorporating Love, Listening, and Language into artic and language therapy for school-aged children. She revealed her favorite sayings, “Teach what you love” and “Good listeners make good students.” She expounded on those concepts, made them real, and outlined strategies of how to effectively instruct those foundational concepts.

Char Boshart, MA, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist, author, seminar presenter, and president and co-founder of Speech Dynamics, Inc. She graduated with her Master’s degree from Western Michigan University under the extraordinary tutelage of Dr. Charles Van Riper, the “father” of articulation therapy during the final years of his illustrious career. Char began her career in the public schools in the early 70’s with a caseload of over 110 children. Since then, she has worked many years in the public schools, developed and ran her own private practice, and, for seven years was an Assistant Professor and Department Chair of the Speech Pathology and Audiology Department at Loma Linda University in southern California. Her interest in creating effective therapy techniques has evolved into the development of several practical articulation publications, videos (articulation and language), and articles.

Linda’s more than 40 years’ experience as a speech-language pathologist, her 6 years as classroom teacher, and her natural ability as a raconteur make her an interesting and animated presenter. Within the past decade, she did numerous seminars in 49 states for the Bureau of Education & Research. From the inner-city schools of New Jersey, to the last one-room school-house in West Virginia, her varied teaching experiences have helped develop insights and expertise that are reflected in her presentations and books: The G.R.O.W. © Series, Lazy Mazie, and The 5-Minute™ Therapy Series. She has also authored “Call Me Ear-Responsible”, a unique, interactive program designed to teach adolescents about hearing conservation. Linda lives on an organic farm in the hills of rural West Virginia where she and her husband raised their children. When not digging in the dirt, Linda can usually be found hiking with her dog, quilting, or reading.
