Course Description

In this course, Kristin shares her telepractice analysis and therapy expertise.  Previously, she was a school SLP and private practitioner and explains how telepractice can also be effective with apraxia, artic errors, language issues, as well as children with severe needs.  She details the technological elements needed, as well as the many benefits of doing telepractice.

About Presenters

Char Boshart

MA, CCC-SLP

Char Boshart, MA, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist, author, seminar presenter, and president and co-founder of Speech Dynamics, Inc. She graduated with her Master’s degree from Western Michigan University under the extraordinary tutelage of Dr. Charles Van Riper, the “father” of articulation therapy during the final years of his illustrious career. Char began her career in the public schools in the early 70’s with a caseload of over 110 children. Since then, she has worked many years in the public schools, developed and ran her own private practice, and, for seven years was an Assistant Professor and Department Chair of the Speech Pathology and Audiology Department at Loma Linda University in southern California. Her interest in creating effective therapy techniques has evolved into the development of several practical articulation publications, videos (articulation and language), and articles.

Kristin Martinez has over 20 years of experience in school-based speech-language pathology and brings her past decade of expertise in clinical teletherapy implementation, best practices, and thought leadership to AMN as Senior Director of Teletherapy. Joining AMN in 2023, Kristin is dedicated to leveraging her deep knowledge of school-based services and her passion for ensuring access and equity for all children to lead AMN's team in partnering with schools nationwide to develop impactful and sustainable teletherapy programs.
