In this course, Marisha discusses how she uses books in speech therapy and how this five-step process has facilitated meaningful and functional outcomes for her students. She shares strategies to select high-quality books and how to use those books when targeting a variety of speech and language goals. Relevant evidence and practical demonstrations will be provided to show SLPs how they can implement evidence-based strategies when targeting goals using literature.

Marisha earned her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington. She has worked as a school-based SLP and shares therapy ideas and resources on her blog (SLP Now). Marisha also developed a membership for SLPs that includes digital tools and resources to streamline evidence-based therapy.
